This year's theme is Every Day I Stand for Children. \nAs the ex-wife of the D.C. Sniper, John A. Muhammad, Mildred shares the very personal details of her experiences involving fear, abuse and many times, victim-blaming. Simply stated, she was a victim who became a survivor and is now a warrior on the issues of domestic abuse and violence. \nThe Every Day I Stand for Children conference will help parents as well as early care and education professionals from across Maryland learn tools to strengthen families to prevent domestic violence and child maltreatment.
